Most air conditioners have large capacitors necessary for their optimal operation. Consequently, when the capacitor breaks down or stops working properly, the engine will no longer receive enough energy to operate. In certain situations, when the condenser does not stop working, but just breaks down, the air conditioner will most likely consume a lot of electricity. Consequently, it is necessary to replace the defective capacitor as soon as you notice this problem.

Instructions:
Stage 1:
Unplug the air conditioner from the power source.

Stage 2:
Locate the electrical panel of the air conditioner. This is usually signaled by an electric shock hazard sign.

Stage 3:
Analyze the working condition of the cylindrical capacitor inside the electrical panel. It is also necessary to carefully read the capacitor label to find out what its value is. In the case of air conditioners, this is usually 50 microfarads.

Stage 4:
Once you have purchased a similar condenser, go back to the air conditioner panel to install it. For this, you must disconnect the first cable from the old capacitor and connect it to the terminal with the same plug of the new capacitor. Repeat this until you have connected all the cables to the new capacitor.

Stage 5:
After connecting the new condenser, fasten the screws of the electrical panel and then reconnect the air conditioner to the home's electrical current source.
